Fear and Greed: How to Control Each and Achieve Trading Success

Since so many focus their attention on trading strategies, the psychological side of trading often is overlooked. This is unfortunate, and a huge mistake. Simply put, you can have a great trading system, but if you can't deal with your emotions, you won't make it as a trader. You must be able to quiet the fear that all traders sometimes feel and still continue to calmly execute your strategies, while ignoring the greedy impulses that can affect your thinking.

In his many years of trading, Fausto has learned how to control both fear and greed. During this workshop, he'll share 10 techniques that will allow you to gain discipline, manage your profits, and limit your losses. Applying these techniques will deeply enhance your chance for trading success. Fausto will also talk about handling success and failure, and what you can learn from each, as well as many other factors that go into successful trading, such as determining the best entry and exit points, identifying cycle highs and lows, and finding the right stocks to trade.

Ten Worst Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

There are two ways to lose money in the market; the smart way and the stupid way.  When we follow specific trading rules and we lose, it means simply that the system didn't work—but by following the rules we lost money the smart way. There are only a few things that are right when it comes to trading but there are hundreds of things we can do wrong. In this no-holds-barred presentation, Jake will show you what he has seen and learned in his near 44 years in the markets as a trader, teacher, author and mentor—real lessons from real trades. He will show you the ten things you must never do... but no education would be complete unless you also learned what works and what you must do. Jake will show you three specific, 100 percent clear and objective tools that do work, complete with the rules, the track records, and exactly how to do it without analysis, without interpretation, and without opinions! Attend the session that could boost your trading to the next level by learning from the voice of nearly a half century of market experience.

One Trade a Day

This is for the trader who has other things to do than sit in front of a computer screen. Based on his recent book "Just a Trade a Day," Jardine demonstrates how to use the Market Profile to take just one trade a day. In this presentation, he also introduces a second method that effectively doubles your ROI and complements the first trade. These methods are also useful for active traders looking for corroboration of their own methods.

Jardine spends most of his day in front of a computer screen designing productivity apps. He spends about 30 minutes each day trading.

Most active traders suffer from "doing too much" and they end up digging themselves into deeper and deeper holes. Jardine’s methods can help you focus on just the important trades.

The Cooper Day Trading Method: Opening Range Breakouts (ORBs), The Holy Grail of Day Trading

Opening Range Breakouts (or breakdowns for shorts) as Cooper defines them in this presentation do a great job of defining trend days and reversal days.

Honed over a more than 25-year career as a short-term trader, this one particular concept and pattern coupled with Reverse ORBs and ORB Reversals, along with the daily position of a stock or index, are the some of the best techniques for capturing short-term profits.

These techniques have been used successfully by subscribers every day for nearly five years in Cooper’s trading service, “The Daily Market Report.”

Trade the Cycle: Building Wealth Consistently and Safely

This presentation will cover one of the many ways to effectively leg into a heavily hedged Bullish Bias Collar Trade. The approach will allow the trader to have a high probability of significantly reducing the cost basis of the stock position through the use of premium collection strategies and then taking stock ownership of a fundamentally superior stock in an extremely oversold condition. Mark will show traders how, once in the stock, to successfully manage the trade to profit, taking advantage of emerging trends.

Reading the Market Bar-By-Bar: Applying Classic Wyckoff Method Trading Tactics

Whether you use indicators or not, or are a swing, day, or position trader, Dr. Gary Dayton will introduce to you how to effectively read the market using only price bars and volume. Being able to read the market by its own action is a skill many traders yearn to develop because it gives a definite edge few possess. And, the good news is, it’s not a pipe dream—it can be learned. Applying classic methods of chart analysis, you will learn how to read supply and demand bar-by-bar, as it unfolds on the chart. Dr. Gary will show you several classic principles of the Wyckoff Method, including climactic action, tests, retracements indicating continuation of the trend, and the tell-tale signs that the trend is changing—all without indicators. He will explain where choice trade setups occur within the overall structure of the market, and detail high odds trade setups you can include in your trading plan. Dr. Gary will also discuss the psychological considerations of developing skilled expertise and what it takes to gain mastery in chart reading and in your trading.

For those new to either candlesticks or options, Steve will briefly go over the basics and options (even if you are familiar with these it will be a great review!). And Nison’s “Chart Challenges” will solidify and reinforce what you learn at this dynamic presentation. Whether you are new to candlesticks or options... or a seasoned pro... you don't want to miss this event.

Unlocking the Opening Range Edge

The intra-day price movement of any market is greatly influenced by how the market trades in the first several minutes to its opening hour. This time frame is called the Opening Range.

Keith and Michele have spent decades trading intra-day patterns of breakouts and reversals based on the statistical edge that the Opening Range can give you over the markets. These patterns and setups can be used for day trading strategies or swing trading entries and exits.

The power of trading with the Opening Range lies in its statistical significance and the simplicity of the trade setup. Winning consistently does not require understanding any statistics, but it does require knowing when to trade a breakout vs. a reversal.

This course will give you rules for trade entries and exits but more importantly, you will learn the essential criteria for identifying the right conditions for trading Opening Range breakouts and reversals. Understanding these key reference points and patterns leverages the statistical significance of the Opening Range, and has been proven to be the difference between success and failure for traders who trade with MarketGauge.

These essential criteria make it easy to identify patterns and key reference points that are available on almost all charting platforms. Because the key reference points are based on daily as well as intra-day time frames, you will be able to incorporate these trading tactics in your day or swing trading.
